Quick Basil Pesto (Nut-free + Vegan)

I’ve yet to meet someone who doesn’t love pesto.  This recipe is super quick and a lot easier to make than more traditional recipes. We tossed it on some pasta and we couldn’t get enough.

Quick Basil Pesto

from Chloe’s Vegan Italian Kitchen



1 cup packed fresh basil

1/4 cup olive oil

1 garlic clove

1 tbsp. lemon juice

1/4 tsp. sea salt

1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper



Combine everything in a small food processor and pulse until combined and smooth.



Mixed in with hot pasta

A dollop on top of tomato soup

Spread on bread and make a sandwich with your favorite fillings

Use instead of tomato sauce for pizza or a flatbread
